Thelma C. Laky

Thelma C. Laky, 90, formerly of Tacoma Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday evening, January 3, 2017, at Whitehall Manor.  She was the wife of the late John J. Laky who passed in 1995.  Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Ira M. and Bertha M. (Delabar) Koehler.
Thelma was employed as a server for the M.W. Woods Catering Company, Allentown, for over 14 years.  An active member of the AARP Northampton Chapter, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and ceramics.
Survivors:  Daughters, Richardynne M. wife of Kenneth Walter of Cherryville, Peggy A. wife of Dale Ehret of Lehighton.  Sons, Thomas L. and wife Mary of Northampton, Robert M. and wife Janet of Palmerton, Terry J. and wife Colleen of Breinigsville.  10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Gloria Anthony, Arlene Bishop, Joyce Buss, Vivian Mottern, and brothers, Granville, and Orville.
Services:  11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2017, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday in the funeral home, prior to services.  Interment is at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Allen Union Cemetery, 4th and Main Streets, Northampton, PA 18067.
