Theodore C. Wismer, Jr.

Theodore C. Wismer, Jr. , 84 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. Born Monday, September 26, 1938 in Easton, PA, he was the son of late Theodore C. Wismer Sr. and the late Virginia (Foulk) Wismer. He was the husband of Eileen (Davis) Wismer, with whom he shared sixty three and a half years of loving marriage.

Ted was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School and then was employed by the Easton Express Times as a wire desk worker for 10 years. He then went to work for the Pocono Record and was a sports editor for 5 years. Ted again felt the call to change and moved to the Morning Call as their sports writer and editor for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed golfing, and when he no longer could, he got a PlayStation so he could golf electronically. Ted also enjoyed reading, and spending time at home with Eileen. He was an elder at St. Paul's U.C.C. Church, Northampton.

Survivors: along with his wife, are sons, Theodore C. Wismer, III, and wife Luann of Walnutport, PA, Daniel Wismer, and wife Mary Jane of Zephyrhills, FL and Scott Wismer and wife Ana of Kenosha WI, daughter, Alison Hauser, and husband Scott of Mohrsville, PA; 8 grand children; 13 great grand children and 1 great great grand child on the way.

Services: private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with his care and services.
