Thomas Smith , 77, of White Street, Bowmanstown, PA, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, October 31, 2024, in his home.  He was the husband of Sara "Ginny" V. (Spotts) Smith since June 2, 2007, and loving companion for over 25 years.  Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Nevin E., Sr. and Ida V. (Ahner) Smith.

Thomas was employed as a carpenter and electrician by the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, later Horsehead Industries.  He attended the Long Run Church of the Brethren.  He served in the Army as a PVT E-1, Vietnam Era.  Thomas was a member of the Bowmanstown Vol. Fire Co., the Aquashicola Vol. Fire Co., Lower Towamensing Twp., the Delaware River Shad Fishing Assoc., and the PA Outdoor Life Club.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, boating, roller skating, and country dancing.

Survivors: Wife.  Daughters, Tammy R. wife of Jason Mathisen of Lehighton, and Amanda S. Gostonyi of Palmerton.  Son, Joshua T. Smith and Kerin of Richlandtown.  4 grandchildren, Benjamin, Amanda, Ava, and Evan.  Stepsons, Bill Hunter of Langhorne, and Chris Hunter of Osceola, IA.  Step-grandchildren, Joe, Jordyn, and Jace.  Sisters, Barbara Hunsicker of Lehighton, and Carol Hunsicker of Jim Thorpe.  Bother, Nevin E., Jr. of Palmerton.  2 sisters-in-law.  Several nieces and nephews.  Former spouse, Debra R. (Walters) Lilly of Lehighton.  He was predeceased by sister, Mary Ondush, brother, Gerald Smith, and several step-siblings.

Services: Memorial Services with Military Honors, 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.  Private Interment.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
