Thomas A. Whiteman, Jr.

Thomas A. Whiteman, Jr., 82, of Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully early Friday evening, March 6, 2026, in his home. He was the husband of the late Judith A. (Heckman) Whiteman who passed in February. Born in Lehighton, he was the stepson of the late Robert Eckhart and son of Ruth (Everett) Eckhart.

Tom was employed as a mechanic for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. He served in the Army, Vietnam Era, and achieved rank of SP5. Tom and his late wife attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton.

Survivors: Daughter, Tiffani L. wife of Jim Christman of Palmerton. Grandsons, Jacob and wife Morgan Christman, Zack Christman and fiancée Kyley Bandholz, and Lucas Christman. 

Services: Memorial Services with Military Honors, 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
