Timothy Lubenesky , 77 of Coplay, PA passed away on August 30, 2023, at his residence. Born March 13, 1946 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen Lubenesky and the late Gertrude (Hujsa) Lubenesky. He was the husband of Terri L. (Simon) Lubenesky, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage this past January 30, 2023.

After graduating Northampton High School in 1964 he went on to work for PPL in Allentown and was last employed as a Health Physicist for 45 years, retiring in 2012. Tim was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts (15 years), leading to many boys who received their Eagle Scout Award including Boy Scout Troops #42 in Coplay and #93 in Northampton.  In his earlier years he was a former 4- H leader in Neffs, PA, and he coached boys' Little League baseball and girls' softball in Coplay. Tim was a past President and a 25 year member of Jacobsburg Historical Society, Nazareth, PA.  He was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. He could fix, recondition, or rebuild nearly anything. Tim was an avid historian on many topics including the Pennsylvania Railroad and model trains, The Henry Family of Boulton at Jacobsburg, and American history.

Surviving along with his wife Terri are daughter, Rebecca A. Speth and husband Daniel of Nazareth, PA, son, John S. Lubenesky and wife Katherine of Montclair, NJ, and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by first wife, Rita (Kulovits) Lubenesky, mother of Rebecca, and John, as well as his 2 brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 9, 2023 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.
