Trudy D. Lucykanish

Trudy D. (Rehrig) Lucykanish , 73, of Palmer House, formerly of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  She was the wife of the late John C. Lucykanish who passed in 1996.  Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Marie (Rodgers) Rehrig.

Trudy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She was employed as a home care aide by the Carbon County Action Committee.  Previously, she was employed by the former Scotty's Fashions Company, and in the custodial services department of Pencor Services, both of Palmerton.  Trudy was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton, and she volunteered as a Palmerton Cub Scout Leader.

Survivors: Daughter, Cynthia A. wife of Gerald Pereira of Palmerton.  Sons, John C. Lucykanish, David P. and wife Marla Lucykanish, all of Lehighton, Chris D. and wife Heidi Lucykanish of Palmerton.  13 grandchildren; Steven, Brian, David, Kaitlyn, Stevie, Sara, Jessica, Brooke, Shane, Jerry, Nathan, Christopher, and Daniel.  12 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Priscilla wife of George Stermer of Palmerton.  Brothers, Jeff and wife Roxanne Rehrig of Palmerton, Kevin Rehrig of Slatington.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  Companion, Bruce Schnell of Palmerton.  She was predeceased by son, Steven J. in 2010, a great-grandson, sister, Marlene Silvius, and a brother, Charles.

Services: Memorial Services, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at St. John's Lutheran Church, PO Box 2915, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the church.  Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.  Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
