Virginia A. Ruch

Virginia A. Ruch, 79 of Slatington, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 27, 1939 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Utsch and the late Florence (Foulke) Utsch. She was the wife of the late Alton C.H. Algard who passed away in 1993. She is survived by husband Richard Ruch with whom she celebrated 23 years of marriage this past January.

Virginia was a graduate of Parkland High School. She was a homemaker all her life caring for her family. She was a member of Northampton Assembly of God and the facilitator for the church's Good News Club.

Survivors: Surviving along with her husband are sons, David A. Algard of Walnutport, PA, Daniel A. Algard & wife LouAnn of Andreas, PA and Jonathan C. Algard & wife Denise of Coplay, PA, daughter, Deborah A. wife of Joseph Ligato of Slatington, PA, step-sons, Kenneth Ruch & wife Andrea of Newton, NJ and Jeffrey Ruch of Elizabethtown, PA, sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Bachman of Whitehall, PA and Diane wife of Radwan Jarrouj of Orefield, PA; 11 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren & 1 step-great grand daughter; Nieces and Nephews.

Services: A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Northampton Assembly of God, 3449 Cherryville Road Northampton, PA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. John's U.C.C. Cemetery, Laury's Station, PA. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA 18067.
