Walter Kuchinos
, 95 of Wescosville, Pennsylvania. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 9,2017, at Lehigh Commons, in Lower Macungie Township, PA. Born August 31, 1922 in Bath, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Sophie (Dziadyk) Kuchinos and was the husband of Tessie (Mazur) Kuchinos, with whom he shared 70 years or marriage this July 19, 2017.
Walter was a graduate of Northampton High School who continued his education at University of PA, Kutztown University, Temple University, and Muhlenberg College. He taught Auto Body Repair for the Allentown School District and Lehigh County Vo-tech Dept. for 35 years before
retiring in 1985. He was a member of Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Northampton, PA. He honorably served the US Army Air Corps during WW II and was a prisoner of War in Poland and Germany. He was a member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War of the Lehigh Valley and a charter member of the Northampton VFW Post # 4714. He was also a self taught Pysanky Egg Decorator, enhancing all of his families special events with a custom designed Pysanky Egg.
Survivors:
Surviving are Wife, Tessie; son, Michael A. Kuchinos and wife Georgine of Rockdale, FL, daughters, Patricia Kuchinos and husband William Jones of Blandon, PA, Kathleen Kuchinos and husband Allan Bach of Hellertown, PA; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was the last of eight brothers.
Services:
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067.
