Walter P. Solick

Walter P. Solick , 93 of Walnutport, PA passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home - Allentown PA. Born Saturday, April 19, 1930 in Summit Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and the late Mary Ann (Mahalick) Solick. He was the husband of Faye (Burkholder) Solick, with whom he shared over 39 years of loving marriage.

He was a graduate of Summit Hill High School, and went on to join the Navy, where he served honorably.  Once returning home he was employed by Fernbrook Manufacturing of Palmerton PA, where he managed the sewing floor. Walter then went on to work at Paris Neckwear in Walnutport, where he also was the manager of the sewing floor, before retiring in 1990. After retiring Walter worked as a Starter and Cart Manager at The Architects Golf Club in New Jersey. In his free time Walter enjoyed playing a round of golf, or spending time with his wife playing tennis.

Survivors: Wife Faye, daughter, Lydia Anne Madara and husband Ray of Lititz, PA. son James Solick, step-daughter Jody Dredge and husband Brian of Whitehall PA, grandchildren Janelle Stegall, Matthew, Nathan, and Zachary Madara. Step-grandchildren Michael Baver, and Abigail Dredge, great granddaughters Grace Madara and Lily Stegall, sisters Anna Marie Grossman, and Margie Menconi.  He was predeceased by two sisters, a brother, and his step-mother Genevie Solick.

Memorial Services are private at the family's request.  Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton has been entrusted with his care and service
