IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter M.
Szymanosky
July 11, 1936 – February 1, 2026
Walter M Szymanosky, 89, of Whitehall, PA passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Phoebe, Allentown, PA. Born on July 11, 1936 in Moscow, PA, he was the beloved son of John and Mary Szymanosky. Walter was the husband of Katherine (Parks) Szymanosky with whom he shared 60 years of loving marriage.
Walter served in the United States Army for 2 years before being honorably discharged. He relocated to Schenectady, NY where he worked as a mechanic. Several years after he married he relocated to Schnecksville, PA to work for Mack Trucks. Walter realized he would rather be on the road instead of the shop so he purchased a tractor trailer and began working for CNE Trucking, Bath, PA (now Moore Trucking) until his retirement in 2000. His love of outdoors drew him to snowmobiling in upstate NY and Yellowstone National Park, WY carting his family and four snowmobiles along. Walter’s dream to own a home began when he purchased 5 acres of land in North Whitehall, PA. With the coordinated effort of his sons, he cleared the land, designed the home and built that dream home where he lived since 1997. His vegetable garden got bigger and more bountiful each year.
Surviving along with his wife, sons, Scott A Szymanosky of Whitehall, PA, Walter M Szymanosky Jr and wife Joey of Palmerton, PA, David A Szymanosky of Whitehall, PA, daughter Regina L Metzger and husband Tim of New Tripoli, PA.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with his care.
