Doris J. Werkheiser, 91 of Wilson Borough, PA. died Monday, September 5, 2016, at her home. Born June 14, 1925 in Hecktown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Newhard, Sr. and Lena (Laubach) Newhard. She was the wife of the late Nevin E. Werkheiser, Jr. Doris was a homemaker caring for her family her whole life. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson Borough, PA.

She is survived by; sons, Larry D. Werkheiser and wife Lorraine of Tatamy, PA and Keith N. Werkheiser and wife Tina of Bethlehem, PA, daughters, Bette L. wife of David Seveney, Barbara L. Nardella both of Wilson Borough, PA, Brothers, Paul Newhard, Jr. of Nazareth, PA, Nevin Newhard of Tatamy, PA, Gerald Newhard of Easton, PA and Glenn Newhard and wife Linda of The Villages, FL, sisters, Betty Stocker of Easton, PA and Victoria Nolf of Tatamy, PA. 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Infant Bruce N. Werkheiser, and Jeffrey B. Werkheiser, brother, Richard Newhard, sisters, Rosabelle Shafer, and Claire Fuls.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday September 9, 2016 at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA. 18064 with the Pastor Michael L. Reist officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown, PA.
