Wilbert "Junior" S. Dunbar
, Jr., 60, of Drift Road, Lower Towamensing, Palmerton, died early Wednesday morning, June 7, 2017, in his home. He was the husband of Sharon (Bowman)Dunbar since November 11, 1995. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Wilbert S., Sr. and Lillian (Hoppes) Dunbar.
Junior was a self-employed carpenter/contractor in the Palmerton area for many years. Previously, he was employed at ATAS International as a loading dock foreman, and also for the former NJ Zinc Company, Palmerton. Junior was a 1974 graduate of the Palmerton High School.
Survivors: Wife, Sharon Dunbar. Son, Jeremy S. and wife Jennifer Dunbar of Palmerton. 2 step-daughters, Terri Orbin of Allentown, and Tammy wife of Lewis George of Trachsville. Grandson, Lucas. 3 step-grandchildren, Jessica, Shelby, and James. Brother, Charles and wife Emmy Dunbar of Palmerton. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Sandy Ransel, and brothers, Gary, and Richard.
