William F. "Bill" Whittaker

William "Bill" F. Whittaker , 78 of Macungie, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown PA. Born March 21, 1946, in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Frank Whittaker and the late Leona (Miller) Whittaker. Bill was the husband of Susan Whittaker, with whom he shared 18 years of loving marriage.

After graduating from Parkland High School, Bill joined the Navy. He served during the Vietnam war, and earned the rank of ETR3, before being honorably discharged. Once returning stateside, Bill started his own business in 1983, Bill Whittaker & Son Construction, specializing in designing and constructing beautiful and unique home remodeling in the Greater Lehigh Valley Area. He would go on to own and operate the business for 30 years before selling the business to his son and retiring in 2012. Bill had a passion for playing cards, watching Perry Mason, and there were no interruptions allowed every evening during the half-hour of Jeopardy.

Survivors: along with his wife, son, Scott A. Whittaker and fiancé Erin Dashner, of Schnecksville, PA, daughter, Sally Whittaker-Kahan and husband Barry of Allentown, PA, stepdaughters; Katie E. Adar, and husband Tom of Slatington, PA, and Tina L Luettgen, and husband Stephen of Allentown PA., 11 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters. He was predeceased by brother, James Whittaker and sister, Bonnie Whittaker.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday July 11, 2024, at Schisler Funeral Home 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. The family invites relatives and friends to gather from 5:00PM up until the time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
