William "Billy" Horwith, 81, of Main Street, Northampton, died Monday morning, June 20, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Elaine N. (Day) Horwith since May 11, 1957. Born in Rockdale, Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Charles and Theresa (Weber) Horwith. Bill was employed as a truck driver by Horwith Trucking Co., Northampton, for many years. Previously he worked in the same capacity for the former Matlack Trucking Co., Northampton. Bill was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton. An avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed stockcar racing and was part of a pit crew in his early years. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, clamming, camping, and attending the regional Grundsau Lodsch every year. He especially enjoyed spending time with and helping his grandchildren. Survivors: wife, daughters, Lee Ann wife of Donald Hortman of Walnutport, Trisha Daniels of Northampton, son, Dan and wife Bonnie of Walnutport. Seven grandchildren, Brad, Alison, Kyle, Tyler, Tia, Tye Lynn, and Jack Jr. Three great-grandchildren, sisters, Rose Hock of Northampton, Mary Hock of Walnutport, Theresa Beckel of Whitehall, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
