William J. Pummer, Jr.

William J. Pummer, Jr., 75 of Quakertown, PA. formerly of Northampton, PA, died on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, Quakertown, PA. Born November 16, 1943 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late William J. Pummer, Sr. and the late June E. (Foster) Pummer. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Haldeman) Pummer who passed away in November 1992.

William was self employed in the electronics field before retiring in 2007. Prior to he worked as a Manager for R.E. Electronics, Piscataway, NJ. for 5 years and before that he worked as a Manager for Siemens of Cherry Hill, NJ for 15 years. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall, PA. William was a past Trustee of the Egypt Cemetery Assoc., and former member of the former Travelers Protection Agency, Allentown, PA. both for many years. Two favorite pastime of his was taking pictures of sunsets from his backyard, watching flying kites dance in the sky. He served his country as a Senior Airman in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by a son, William J. Pummer, III (Katherine) of Pennsburg, PA, brother, Ronald J. Pummer(Rainer) of Hayward, CA, sister, Susan J. Lentz(Jeffrey) of Walnutport, PA; Daughter-in-law; Erin Pummer of Scranton, PA; 5 grandsons. He was predeceased by a son, Alex J. Pummer in 2012.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday February 7, 2019 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. James W. Schlegel officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the services. Interment with military honors will conclude services in Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall (Egypt), PA.
