William C. Wise

William C. Wise , 86 of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA. Born February 8, 1937 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Verdi V. Wise and the late Dorothy (Marsh) Wise. He was the husband of the late Diane R. (Hafer) Wise who passed away December 21, 2013 having celebrated 53 years of marriage.

William was a Firefighter for the City of Allentown, PA for 25 years until his retiring on January 4, 1992. He was a member of the Liberty Fire Co., Allentown, PA, the Raccoon Club, and the Lappawinzo Rod & Gun Club, both of Northampton, PA. He served his country as a PFC in the US Army Airborne from 1955 to 1958.

William is survived by his 4 daughters; Billie Jo wife of Gregory Pochatko, Cherie L. wife of Eric Beers, Dina L. wife of Kendall Galusha, and Julianne (Nagy) wife of Terry Wise, all of Northampton, PA. son, Thomas R. Nagy of Catasauqua, PA.  brothers, Terry V. Wise and wife Julianne of Northampton, PA, Barry Wise and wife Brenda of Allentown, PA, Raymond Wise and wife Linda of Hallem, PA and Edward Wise and wife Daisy of Santa Clarita, CA, sisters, Jean wife of Gary Mohr  of Emerald, PA and Mrs. Sandra Rivera of Bethlehem, PA; 16 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, Terry M. Wise, Scott A. Nagy, Grandsons; Dakota Galusha, Jason Gruver, 3 brothers; Donald, Delbert, Floyd, and 3 sisters, Gloria, Shirley, and Joyce.

Graveside Service with Firefighter Honors will be held at 11:30 AM December 23, 2023 at Grandview Cemetery, 2735 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, PA 18104. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067, has been entrusted with his services and care.
