Wilmer R Weaver

Wilmer R. Weaver, 88, longtime resident of Nazareth, PA died on Friday, January 19, 2018, at his Westminster Village residence in Allentown. Born on October 14, 1929, he was the son of the late Hiram Weaver and the late Marie (Dixon) Weaver. He was the husband of the late Betty (Ginter) Weaver.

Will served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 through 1953. Achieving the rank of Sergeant, he was awarded a Bronze Star for meritorious service. Following his time in the Army he was a member of the American Legion. Will attended St. John's U.C.C. in Nazareth, where he enjoyed many years as the church treasurer, along with other various duties throughout his time there.
Will spent 30 years with Lehigh Fluid Power of Lambertville, NJ. He retired in 1994 as Corporate Secretary and Controller.

Surviving are daughters, Kimberly A. wife of Herschel Schreck of Salisbury Twp., PA and Karen M. wife of Mark Schwiker of Sugarloaf, PA, brother, Lloyd & wife Loretta Weaver of Meyerstown, PA, sister, Doris wife of Robert Lambert of Saylorsburg, PA; granddaughters, Beth (husband Jim), Katie, Kelly; great granddaughter, Bayley.  He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Broad & Prospect Sts., Nazareth, PA with the Rev. Jeff Brinks officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services at the church.  Interment with military honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery - Nazareth.
