Hilda M. Hess

Hilda M. Hess , 98 of Nazareth, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem.

Born Saturday, July 25, 1925 in Forks Township, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Isabel (Ackerman) Haupt and wife of the late Frank B. Hess who passed away in 2015.

Hilda was a graduate of Easton High School and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth.  She was a member and past Star Point of the Nazareth Chapter 253, Calypso Chapter 163, Order of the Eastern Star and also volunteered at the Nazareth Senior Center and member of the LORA Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan K. and husband Donald Broad of Nazareth, sons, Larry and wife Geri Hess of Payson, AZ and Brian and wife Denise Hess of Monroe, VA, sister, Gladys wife of Ralph Kitchen of Blairstown, NJ, grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan, Matthew, and Nicholas, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Edith Haupt, and Edna Durns, and brother Harold Haupt.

Services: The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the church or Tunnels to Towers, both in care of the funeral home.
